Tom and Geoff Hurwitch built a few boats in the late 1990’s and early 2000’s under the builder name Witchcraft Boats.

The first Witchcraft was launched in early 2000. The first few boats were built on the Ballenger tooling which was heavily modified and had an all-new interior. Witchcraft then acquired the Lindsay moulds in the mid-2000s but I am not aware of any completed boats that they constructed from those moulds. According to the 505 registry, there are 4 Witchcraft 505s that have been measured; the first two are likely from the Ballenger tooling, and the last two, 8845 and 8846, have never been seen on the racecourse. Perhaps those were pulled from the Lindsay tooling?

All WitchCraft International 505's come to you below minimum weight, finished with your choice of deck, hull and bottom color* and launcher style. Three inspection ports and two Super medium bailers are included. We are currently offering a choice of our newly-developed WitchCraft ML base on the same hull shape with which Americans won the 1981 and 1982 World Championships or the hull shape we have used on our previous production boats; the WitchCraft hull.

* Standard colors are light grey and white. Additional colors may be added or substituted at an additional cost.

Hull only- $7,900**: Hull finished in your choice of colors with vinylester resin, fiberglass cloth and divinylcell core construction, vacuum-bagged for strength and low weight.

Complete 505- $15,400**: Hull finished in your choice of colors with vinylester resin, fiberglass cloth and divinylcell core construction, vacuum bagged for strength and low weight. 

Price includes:

• Standard rigging including vang adjustments on tanks, all else on centerboard cap, adjustable mast ram down control, mast, boom and spinnaker pole.

• Waterat standard gybing centerboard and fixed rudder.
• A Dacron main and jib with nylon spinnaker using the newly-ratified luff length.

• Hull materials: Kevlar, Carbon, Honeycomb core, epoxy resin
• Hull finished to your specification in your choice of colors.
• Rigging : your choice.
• We stock your choice of Waterat foils, Kinder Industries covers and Ullman or North sails.

• A contracted date for building to begin will be determined upon receipt of deposit.
• Deposit is 50% of the completed cost.
