It is interesting to note that the Pinnell Numbers indicate rather more rake than the North American numbers. They use 25' 5" as a starting " point, and rake from there, while we use 25' 8" and rake from there. At 22 knots they are at 24' 9 3/4", while we might be at 25' 4" or 5". They also decrease rig tension as the breeze comes on, unlike us.
