Association will be held on Wednesday 22 November 2000 at the Point Yacht
Club, Durban, South Africa
The meeting will start at 19.00 hrs depending on the timing of the World Championship Race

Rule Changes
To receive proposal from the IRC to change Measurement Rules 8.4 (Spinnaker).
(Text of proposal will be circulated at least two weeks before event )

To empower the IEC to modify Championship Rules 5.6 and 5.7 (Category
B advertising) with effect from 1 January 2001 to take account of the
anticipated changes in the ISAF advertising code which are to be voted on at the
ISAF Annual Meeting in November. The intention will be only to make those
modifications necessary to bring the spirit and effect of our existing rules
within the new ISAF framework. Any modification made by the IEC will be subject
to ratification at the 2001 AGM and postal ballot as necessary - Proposed by IEC

Following the Notice of the Annual General Meeting of the Association to be held on Wednesday 22 November 2000 at the Point Yacht Club, Durban, South Africa, the following proposals have been received.
Item 7
The following Nominations were received before the deadline of 22 October:
President: Ali Meller - proposed by US Association
Vice President: Tom Bojland - proposed by Danish and Swedish Association

Spinnaker
Rule 8.4.2 to be deleted and replaced with:
8.4.2 The following dimensions shall not be exceeded:
Leech length 6000mm
Foot median (head point to mid foot point) 7096mm
Foot length 4500mm
Half width 4500mm
Delete Rule 8.4.3 - (75% rule)
Spars
Rules 7.2.4 to be deleted and replaced with:
The highest point of entry onto the block, sheave or fairlead
for the spinnaker halyard shall not be more than 5955mm and not be less than
5054mm above the deck band.
No rigidly fixed point for attachment of the block, sheave or fairlead may
extend more than 35mm from the surface of the mast.
