First experience: On a dead run, it was a small bit faster than a normal size spin. It only payed off to point closer to the wind in the gusts (more than 10 knots). In my point of view, if there should be a significant difference in light conditions, the spinnaker should be larger and fuller if we are sailing an up & down course.
By the way, we had some problems getting out of the harbour because
of the ice. The problems was even bigger when we finished training, now a layer of 2 cm
ice in harbour, so ice breaker assistance was needed in form of a Waterat to brake it
'grin'.
We will be back with further information.
