Domingos / Anjos ends eightWolfgang Hunger is the new world championship leaderThe german team Wolfgang Hunger / Holger Jess are the new leaders of the Quebramar - 505 World Championship, after winning the fifth race that took place this afternoon in Cascais. With winds around 4 / 5 knots, Hunger / Jess swept through the first two marks in front of the fleet, went down to third and fifth in the next ones and, only on the last upwind, they managed to returned to the lead. With this victory, Wolfgang Hunger, former 470 world champion, and Holger Jess passed the swedes Krister Bergstrom / Thomas Moss - who ended 19th in this race - in the top of the overall classification. On the second place of the fifth race came the team Dietrich Scheder - Bieschin / Rainer Goerge, also from Germany, followed by the swedish team Johan Molund / Johan Barne. The local team Afonso Domingos / Henrique Anjos was once again in evidence in this race as they ended on the eight position, climbing to the 25th place in the overall. Álvaro Marinho and Tiago Marcelino came 15th and are still the best portuguese team as they stand on the 19th position of the overall classification. Meanwhile, Vicente Pinheiro de Mello and Pedro Andrade has abandoned the competition because the boat they had rented wasn't in proper condition. So, in the lead of the champiosnhip is now the germans Wolfgang Hunger / Holger Jess, with 11 points, followed by the swedes Krister Bergstorm - five times world champion - and Thomas Moss (19 points) and the british team Ian Pinnell - former european champion - / Tim Hancock.
